Benjamin Kiel Busby-Collins


Ben passed away January 19, 2013, at the age of 38. He was born November 20, 1974, in Fort Riley, Kansas.

Ben grew up in Chicago, Colorado, and Oregon. He received a BA in International Relations from Southern Oregon University. He was the Founder and President of Ballard Organics Soap Company. He was a long-time supporter of The Urban Rest Stop. He had strong political views, and was passionate about fairness and justice. He loved the natural world, never losing his sense of wonder. He donated 1,000 gallons of Ballard Organics liquid soap to help clean animals during the Gulf Oil Spill. He was loyal and caring and will be missed by his many friends. Above all, his family was everything to him.

Ben is survived by his wife, Yvette Sanchez, and children, Jacob and Sophia; his parents,
Mark and Michele Rowley, and Elbert and Sarah Collins; his brother, Matthew; his
sisters, Emily, Quin, Gwen, and Tess; his grandmother, Elinor Busby, and a large
extended family.

Visitation will be held at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, Sunday January 27, 10AM
to 5 PM. Funeral service will be at the Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home on Saturday,
February 2, at 10AM.
